The Junior & Middle Wings of J.P World School, Jammu celebrated XI Sports Day on school high grounds amidst great mirth, verve and gaiety. Almost 600 students participated in the event. The dignitaries were welcomed by the Junior School Head Boy, Vaidik who presented the welcome address. The principal Jitinder Singh Hundal in his address congratulated and lauded the winners for their zeal , invincible spirit and acknowledged efforts The colourful event commenced with the unfurling of school flag by the chief guest on the melodious tunes played by the school orchestra culminated with Vote of thanks presented by Junior School Head Girl Samia followed by national anthem.
Umang Bhat, Prajwal Gupta & Akarsh Sharma of Grade 12th have brought laurels for the school and Jammu & Kashmir by qualifying Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana-2017-18(KVPY) consecutively for the second year. It is noteworthy that Akarsh Sharma and Umang Bhat have also qualified NSEC & NSEP-2017-18.It is a great achievement to know that out of total five selections from whole of J & K, three are from J.P. World School. Moreover, JPians have created history by bringing laurels for Jammu & Kashmir as there had not been any selection in NSEC &NSEP from J&K in last 28 years.
In its bid to encourage healthy competition and bring out the best of each child, the Junior Wing of JP World School organised Inter House Science Quiz. The event witnessed enthusiastic preparation and participation. The teams namely Vega, Regal, Milky Way and Denabola comprised of Dipesh, Ajmal, Mukta, Asim Dhruv, Falak, Vaibhav, Shehzan, Sitanshu, Shorya, Arhaan, Gurleen (Category-I) & Anishika, Shubham, Samia, Afia, Aliza, Rishika, Yatharth, Harshit, Mohit, Azhar, Jasmeet, Shivam (Category-II) took part in it. In neck to neck fight, the students of Chenab House & Jhelum house stood first while Tawi, Chenab & Ravi House stood runner up in category-I and category-II respectively. There was much jubilation in winning teams.
